ABOUT US

Caught Up Mentoring was founded to inspire, mold and empower young men to be productive members of society, giving them tools and resources to succeed as they enter into manhood.

We are passionate about transforming the lives of young men from all walks of life, helping them become beacons of hope in their communities. Our programs have served over 300 African-American, Latino, and Caucasian men from low-income families in Detroit, MI.

We facilitate three programs for young men ages 14-20:

SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE

Hosted at our main facility, this program provides a space for young men to develop life skills and network with positive community role models from various academic industries while enjoying food, fellowship, and sports activities.

PROJECT EMPOWER

This program serves youth at Southeastern High School and Denby High School, consisting of life skills training, college tours, and community service activities.

PROJECT RE-ENTRY

This program helps incarcerated youth prepare for entry back into society. Young men at two local juvenile detention centers get help with job interviewing skills, financial literacy, use of proper professional attire, college preparation, and exposure to healthy living skills.

Our mission may be best captured by the following quote:

“When people get CAUGHT UP with that which is right and they are willing to sacrifice for it, there is no stopping short of victory.” - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
